WILKES-BARRE &mdash; Wilkes University is not only offering it&rsquo;s annual Maslow Foundation Salon Reading Series online, it is offering most of the readings free to the general public.
				The Reading Series highlights the June 2020 residency part of the university&rsquo;s Maslow Family Graduate Creative Writing program. The creative writing program is offered in either low-residency form, with most work online but requiring eight day campus residency in January and June, or through four weekend sessions per semester.
				Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Wilkes and other area colleges and universities switched to online-only learning for the end of the spring semester, and is continuing to teach online-only through the summer. Last week, Wilkes jointly announced with King&rsquo;s College that both will return to on-campus learning this fall.
				The reading series &ldquo;features alumni, guests and creative program faculty, many of whom are prize-winning authors, as guest readers. The program is holding all of the classes and events of its June residency virtually from June 12-19. Readings are offered nightly June 14-18. Traditionally the residency is held on campus.&rdquo;
				A reading on June 13 is not available to those not in the creative writing program, but the other readings will be online at <a href="https://wilkes.edu/readingseries" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">wilkes-edu/readingseries</a>.
				The schedule:
				Sunday, June 14 &mdash; poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction. Featured readers are: Rashidah Ismaili Abubakr, Laurie Loewenstein, Lenore Hart, Donna Talarico, David Poyer, Christine Gelineau, Taylor Polites.
				Tuesday, June 16 &mdash; fiction and creative nonfiction. Featured readers are: Kevin Oderman, Jeff Talarigo, Laurie Jean, Beverly Donofrio, Kaylie Jones, Robert Mooney, Jacquelyn Mitchard.
				Wednesday, June 17 &mdash; playwrights night, including staged readings of faculty work. Featured faculty playwrights are: Jean Klein, Gregory Fletcher, Juanita Rockwell, Bonnie Culver, Jan Quackenbush.
				Thursday, June 18 &mdash; fiction, creative non-fiction and poetry. Featured readers are: J. Michael Lennon, Maureen Corrigan, Tim Seibles, Nancy McKinley, Phil Brady.
