Report: Pa. workforce hit less hard than other states, but numbers still staggering

 RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil — Chilean President Sebastian Pinera fired health minister Jaime Manalich on Saturday, because of public anger about perceived poor management of the coronavirus pandemic.
 Pinera swore in Enrique Paris as the new health minister on Saturday. The ceremony was streamed on the news office’s Twitter.
 Criticism of Manalich increased as changes were made around publishing coronavirus data.
 A report that the health ministry informed the World Health Organization, or WHO, about far more coronavirus deaths than it publicly announced, was thought to have broken the camel’s back.
 Although capital city Santiago de Chile has been under quarantine for more than a month, the number of coronavirus infections recently skyrocketed.
 Around 167,000 people have become infected with the virus in the South American country and 3,101 have died so far, according to the latest data from health officials.
