WILKES-BARRE &mdash; The Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce and local State Farm agent Christie Bonnice are teaming up to provide a day of fun and competition to the community.
				A virtual scavenger hunt has been organized for Saturday afternoon in an attempt to not only give area residents a fun afternoon, but also to bring attention to local businesses as they prepare to re-open in the green phase of Pennsylvania&rsquo;s COVID-19 recovery plan.
				&ldquo;The Chamber and I were supposed to sponsor the Young Professionals Kickball Tournament, but it got cancelled,&rdquo; Bonnice said. &ldquo;We racked our brains for something new to do, and we saw a different chamber do a scavenger hunt so we thought it would be fun to try.&rdquo;
				The hunt starts at 2 p.m. on Saturday, with the rules and locations going live on Facebook at 1 p.m. Participants could announce their involvement by posting a picture of their team to the event&rsquo;s Facebook page.
				Landmarks all over Luzerne County will be the focus, as contestants will drive around the area looking for specific locations and landmarks to take photos of. Posting these photos to social media will earn points; some landmarks will be worth more points than others, depending on how difficult they are to find.
				&ldquo;We&rsquo;ve got over 100 places for them to explore,&rdquo; Bonnice said. &ldquo;They don&rsquo;t even need to get out of the car.&rdquo;
				The hunt is designed for players to discover landmarks all over the county, both prominent and lesser-known. The contest comes to and end at 4 p.m. sharp, leaving players to rack up as many points as they can in a two-hour window.
				First and second-place finishers will receive a prize for their efforts: gift cards to local restaurants and businesses in need of a boost after losing a lot of business to COVID-19.
				&ldquo;It&rsquo;s going to be a lot of fun,&rdquo; Bonnice said. &ldquo;The folks at the Chamber are so good at putting things like this together.&rdquo;
