More lawsuits filed against Diocese of Scranton over sex abuse

HARVEYS LAKE &mdash; A man allegedly slammed the door on two police officers, saying he was trying to sleep before he was stunned three times with Tasers during a struggle inside his residence Thursday.
				The incident occurred just after 3:30 p.m. when two officers went to the Ashton Road residence of Gerald Wycallis, 44, who was involved in a protection-from abuse order and an assault earlier in the day, according to court records.
				Wycallis slammed the door and allegedly struggled with the officers who stunned him three times.
				According to the criminal complaint:
				Police went to Wycallis&rsquo; residence and found his vehicle parked near the home.
				Wycallis opened the door telling officers, &ldquo;I&rsquo;m trying to sleep&rdquo; and slammed the door shut.
				An officer kicked the door that was opened by Wycallis who told the officers, &ldquo;Go away, I&rsquo;m allowed to be here,&rdquo; the complaint says.
				Wycallis turned and walked toward the kitchen refusing officers&rsquo; commands to stop.
				Police in the complaint stated Wycallis walked toward knives in the kitchen.
				An officer warned Wycallis he would be stunned if he continued to refuse to stop.
				Wycallis was stunned by a Taser, causing him to fall to the floor.
				Police allege Wycallis refused to put his hands behind his back and ripped the Taser prongs from his body.
				Wycallis stood up and approached the officers, resulting in a second stun by a Taser that had no impact.
				During a struggle with Wycallis, he was stunned a third time before he was arrested.
				Police said Wycallis was evaluated by emergency medical technicians.
				Wycallis was arraigned by District Judge James Haggerty in Kingston on two counts each of aggravated assault and simple assault and a single count of resisting arrest. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $15,000 bail.
