Cardinals return to St. Louis, get in workout ahead of games

HARVEYS LAKE &mdash; Grotto Pizza was a car lover&rsquo;s paradise on Sunday afternoon, as hot rods both vintage and new were on full display at the annual Back Mountain Bobcats Car, Truck and Bike Show.
				After some expected rain led to the show being canceled last Sunday, the sun was bright and there wasn&rsquo;t a cloud in the sky as the Grotto&rsquo;s parking lot was packed with cars, motorcycles and trucks as far as the eye could see.
				Eric Morgan was one of the main organizers behind Sunday&rsquo;s car show, an early-August tradition that stretches back through the last few years.
				&ldquo;It&rsquo;s been like six or eight years up here. It&rsquo;s always popular,&rdquo; Morgan said. &ldquo;Grotto&rsquo;s always let us set up here, they&rsquo;ve sponsored this from the beginning.&rdquo;
				All proceeds from the car show, which include registration fees as well as a basket raffle and the cost of a dollar to vote, go to the Back Mountain Bobcats, the local youth football and cheerleading team that&rsquo;s been around since 2006.
				Multiple Bobcats T-shirts and jerseys could be spotted walking the lot on Sunday, checking out all the vehicles and trying to decide which one deserved to take home a prize.
				A table full of trophies in various categories was seated not too far from the raffle table for everyone to see.
				Proud owners of some of the Back Mountain&rsquo;s (and beyond) finest rides were seated next to their vehicles as voters and car enthusiasts inspected each car.
				One proud owner, Matt Larkin of Kingston, rolled up to the Grotto in a 1998 Jeep with his daughter in tow. The car was gorgeous, but it&rsquo;s the name of the car that means the most to Larkin: &ldquo;Survivor.&rdquo;
				&ldquo;I was diagnosed with cancer a few years back, not long after I bought this,&rdquo; Larkin said. &ldquo;I decided to start restoring it.&rdquo;
				Larkin&rsquo;s a member of the Blacktop Warriors Jeep Club, one of the most popular Jeep clubs in all of Pennsylvania. The group participates in tons of rides and events throughout the year, and recently raised some money for Candy&rsquo;s Place, a cancer wellness center in Forty Fort.
				&ldquo;We try to stay active and stay involved,&rdquo; Larkin said.
				Morgan said that the total number of registrants for this year&rsquo;s show was around 80 vehicles.
				&ldquo;We&rsquo;ve done 150 registrants before, obviously this year was a little different with COVID and everything,&rdquo; Morgan said. &ldquo;But we&rsquo;re here, and it&rsquo;s a beautiful day.&rdquo;
