Franklin, PSU players and parents publicly fight to save fall season

HANOVER TWP. &mdash; State police criminal investigators returned to a residence on Boland Avenue on Monday removing evidence possibly connected to a shooting that killed a man and injured another.
				Troopers executed a search warrant at 226 Boland Ave. at about 12 p.m. using a crow bar to force open a rear door. No one was home at the time of the search.
				A resident of the house moved out late Friday night into Saturday morning utilizing a box truck, neighbors said.
				Neighbors said the resident was at the house on Sunday.
				A township police officer was stationed at the house since Sunday when a man, identified by state police as a Hispanic male, suffered a gunshot wound in front of the residence.
				Investigators believe the man ran up the street leaving blood spatter on the sidewalk, and ran through a yard to Lee Park Avenue where he was found in front of Lee Park Motors near Saint Marys Road.
				Investigators found Fernando Vasquez-Vittini, 25, of Scranton, dead inside a dark colored Toyota Camry at Saint Marys Road and South Main Street.
				Luzerne County Coroner Frank Hacken said an autopsy by forensic pathologist Dr. Gary Ross revealed Vasquez-Vittini died from multiple gunshot wounds with the manner of death listed as a homicide.
				A resident of Boland Avenue told the Times Leader a surveillance camera on his home captured &ldquo;flashes&rdquo; coming from a dark colored vehicle at the time of the shooting.
				Investigators obtained a copy of the footage on Sunday.
				Another Boland Avenue resident reported hearing at least two gunshots.
				Neighbors reported the resident living at 226 Boland Ave. is the nephew of Hakim Wilburn who, along with Danielle Moorer, were indicted by a federal grand jury in August 2018 on drug trafficking offenses.
				A 14-count indictment alleged Wilburn and Moorer distributed more than 1 kilograms of heroin and an unspecified amount of cocaine from June 2015 to August 2018.
				At the time of the indictment, a forfeiture action was included for federal authorities to seize 226 Boland Ave., including a house on Graham Ave., Hanover Township, two vehicles, four bank accounts, two safety deposit boxes and two Rolex watches.
				When Wilburn and Moorer pleaded guilty, federal authorities did not pursue seizing the Boland Avenue property.
