Ask dance students at the Joan Harris Centre in Luzerne to look back at late March, April and May &mdash; and they&rsquo;ll tell you they&rsquo;re just so glad the lockdown is over.
				&ldquo;It was horrible,&rdquo; said Kat McCabe, 14, of Shavertown.
				&ldquo;I didn&rsquo;t know what to do with myself, going from a busy schedule to nothing,&rdquo; said Lindsay Sherrick, 17, of Shickshinny.
				&ldquo;I lost a lot of flexibility (from not working out as much),&rdquo; said Tylor Berrini, 15, of Larksville.
				Sure, they could follow along with dance classes the school livestreamed over Facebook. In fact, as Harris Centre manager Jim Harris pointed out, &ldquo;We&rsquo;d have 900 views, 1000 views, with alumni from Florida and the Carolinas and even a girl who went back to Brazil joining us.&rdquo;
				But it wasn&rsquo;t quite like the synergy of dancing together, when &ldquo;the dancers just glow,&rdquo; as Alec Aversa, 21, of Thornhurst, said during a break in his Wednesday evening hip hop class.
				After coronavirus restrictions eased into the green phase in June, Sherrick said, &ldquo;It was such a relief&rdquo; to return to in-person classes at the school. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s our second home here.&rdquo;
				But, what about the customary shows? What about restrictions that limit crowd size?
				&ldquo;We were unbelievably fortunate to get a Saturday&rdquo; at the Irem Pavilion in Dallas,&rdquo; Harris said, explaining that the open air venue, in keeping with state guidelines, can allow 250 people.
				So the school divided the students into four groups, who will entertain at four separate shows, each designed to last about one hour, on Saturday. Tickets have been strictly rationed, with each family eligible for only two spectator tickets to keep the audiences within limits.
				&ldquo;We&rsquo;ll show it on Facebook,&rdquo; Harris promised.
				The important thing, the students say, is that they get to perform.
				&ldquo;We worked hard for a really long time,&rdquo; Kat McCabe said, explaining she and her friends are looking forward to being in a show that will present contemporary, jazz, hip hop and tap numbers.
				&ldquo;It&rsquo;s everything except ballet,&rdquo; Harris said, explaining the Harris Centre hopes to stage the classical ballet &ldquo;The Sleeping Beauty&rdquo; soon. Dancers have been preparing for that for months, Harris said. &ldquo;We had a dress rehearsal and it looks fabulous.&rdquo;
				As students rehearsed various numbers mid-week at the Harris Centre, little girls in yellow dresses were tap dancing and older teens in blue camo pants were somersaulting in hip hop class.
				&ldquo;Some of them might take their masks off for their dance,&rdquo; Harris said. &ldquo;But then they&rsquo;ll put it right back on again. We&rsquo;re following the same guidelines as the athletes in the Dallas School District. If you&rsquo;re on the bench or waiting your turn, your mask is on. But if you&rsquo;re actively playing the sport, your mask can be off.&rdquo;
				Saturday&rsquo;s recital will showcase various kinds of music and styles of dance, several students said.
				&ldquo;I think there will be something for everyone,&rdquo; said Bella Buckland, 17, of Larksville.
				&ldquo;There are little girls doing do-wop with jazz hands,&rdquo; said Victoria Zultevic, 16, of Shickshinny. &ldquo;They&rsquo;re adorable.&rdquo;
				&ldquo;It&rsquo;s fun to watch their reactions,&rdquo; Sherrick added. &ldquo;Sometimes they&rsquo;ll be looking (out to the audience) to see their moms.&rdquo;
