We&rsquo;ve had several drownings in recent months, and a bad moment in the drink could have turned Painter&rsquo;s chase into a body search. Police caught him in Hanover Township, and say he had a suspended driver&rsquo;s license and eight wet packets of heroin in his pockets.
				Diamonds to area native Dalton Ell for persistence in pursuing his dream of an acting career in Los Angeles. The graduate of Holy Redeemer High School and King&rsquo;s College got a crack at fame with an appearance on the offbeat reality show Cannonball on the USA Network, a follow-up to smaller successes in his career since heading west. A quote from last Sunday&rsquo;s page 1 story by staff writer Kevin Carroll may have summed up Ell&rsquo;s attitude and why he&rsquo;s actually getting some traction in a crowded business&rdquo; It&rsquo;s every parent&rsquo;t dream,&rdquo; the holder of a degree in chemistry explained, &ldquo;their son says he wants to go to medical school, gets into medical school, and then decides to become an actor.&rdquo;
				Good luck, Dalton, and the good news is, he can always fall back on that med school idea.
				Coal to Sara Lynn Cool, freshly sentenced to three years probation after pleading guilty to animal cruelty charges after being accused of keeping a horse found to be severely underfed. A Humane Society Police Officer found the situation while following up on a tip about the Wapwallopen property, and reports are grim: the mare&rsquo;s backbone, ribs and hip bones protruded from its flesh. We don&rsquo;t know what happened to create this situation, but we know it is never right to neglect or abuse animals who blindly put their trust in human companions.
