US rolls out free app for alerts on vehicle recalls

WILKES-BARRE &mdash; Drug agents with Wilkes-Barre Township police and the state Office of Attorney General seized a large amount of raw fentanyl, crack cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills and 14 firearms after they busted a convicted felon for having two people attempt to purchase weapons at a firearms dealer in Pittston Township.
				Larodney McClellan, 31, known as &ldquo;L&rdquo; on the street, was arrested when agents found him sitting inside a vehicle parked outside the firearms dealer Thursday.
				Agents had McClellan under surveillance when he allegedly sent two people inside the business to purchase firearms, according to court records.
				After McClellan was arrested, agents searched his apartment at 312 N. Empire Ct., Sherman Hills, where they found 14 firearms including an AK-47 style rifle and a shotgun, approximately 5,850 dosages of raw fentanyl, 45 grams of crack cocaine, 1,600 Alprazolam tablets, 400 Percocet tablets, 100 Oxycodone tablets, and 1.2 pounds of marijuana, court records say.
				Police said $2,000 in counterfeit $100 bills and $11,000 in illegal drug proceeds were also seized. 
				According to the criminal complaint:
				Agents observed McClellan wait inside a Hyundai parked outside the firearms dealer and a woman and another person enter the business.
				Agents inside the business observed the woman purchasing ammunition she took to McClellan in the vehicle and return to the store where the other person was completing paperwork to purchase two 9mm handguns, the complaint says.
				When the purchase was denied after a state firearms background check, McClellan was arrested along with the woman and other person.
				During an interview with agents, McClellan admitted the narcotics discovered in the apartment belonged to him for the distribution in the Wilkes-Barre area, the complaint says.
				McClellan was arraigned Thursday by District Judge Michael Dotzel in Luzerne County Central Court on eight counts of illegal possession of a firearm, six counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and one count each of dealing in proceeds of unlawful activity, criminal conspiracy, sales of firearms to an ineligible transferee, criminal use of communication facility and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed at the county correctional facility for lack of $200,000 bail.
				Court records say McClellan is prohibited from purchasing, owning, carrying and possessing firearms due to a drug trafficking conviction in New Jersey.
