LUZERNE &mdash; Luzerne Borough police Thursday arrested a man on allegations he sexually assaulted a child for several years.
				Michael Alan Hornick, 28, of Charles Street, Luzerne, was arraigned by District Judge David Barilla in Forty Fort on charges of rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors and two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility without bail as Barilla deemed him a danger to society.
				Police allege Hornick sexually assaulted a girl beginning in August 2017 until November 2019.
				According to the criminal complaint:
				Police received information Aug. 1 that a girl was a victim of a sexual assault by Hornick.
				The girl was questioned by a forensic interviewer at the Luzerne County Children&rsquo;s Advocacy Center.
				When police questioned Hornick on Aug. 11, he admitted to engaging in a sexual act with the girl one time, the complaint says.
				Court records say Hornick was arrested by Luzerne police in December 2019 on allegations he had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl from April 2019 to July 2019.
				Under a plea agreement with prosecutors, Hornick pleaded no contest to a single count of corruption of minors and was sentenced June 15 to 15 months probation, court records say.
				Prosecutors withdrew a statutory sexual assault charge against Hornick under the plea agreement.
