Big Ten working on multiple options for football, including Thanksgiving start

More than five months after the coronavirus pandemic shut down high school sports, Wyoming Valley Conference teams officially returned to competition on Friday.
				Golf season opened in the morning at Lehman Golf Club as Holy Redeemer defeated Wyoming Area 156-180. And leading the way for the first event of the 2020-21 season in any sport was a freshman.
				Cael Ropietski shot a 37 to earn medalist honors, two strokes ahead of Eli Ropietski. Teammates Matt Williams and Kip Miller each shot 40 to round out the Royals&rsquo; scoring.
				J.T. Gober led the Warriors with a 39, followed by Matt Sorick (40), Logan Dominick (49) and Mike Brown (52).
				The weather didn&rsquo;t cooperate with everyone, however, as postponed matches included Crestwood vs. Berwick and Wilkes-Barre Area vs. Tunkhannock.
				Dallas 151, Pittston Area 183
				Logan Paczewski and the Mountaineers got off to an excellent start as Paczewski shot a 4-under 32 to lead all golfers at Irem Country Club.
				Josh Peters had a 37 for Dallas and was followed by Kyle Langan and Rhys Bonvie, who both shot a 41.
				Tyler Wassel (43), Zach Valeski (44) and Frankie Nocito (45) topped the Patriots with Karl Pecha and Jordan Ruane both carding a 51.
