Facing a coronavirus crisis, Israel calls in the army

HANOVER TWP. &mdash; Township police charged a woman with withdrawing more than $7,000 from an account after the man she was caring for had died.
				Deborah A. Longfoot, 63, of Oxford Street, Hanover Township, allegedly made withdrawals from the account of Gary Moser at the M&T Bank Crossroads branch beginning July 17 to July 22.
				Moser died July 17, according to his published obituary.
				Police allege Longfoot withdrew a total of $7,275.
				According to the criminal complaint:
				Moser&rsquo;s son and daughter, Jason Moser and Jo Bindics, reported to police on July 23 that their late father&rsquo;s paramour and caregiver, Longfoot, withdrew more than $7,000 from their father&rsquo;s savings and checking accounts.
				Gary Moser did not have a last will or testament permitting Longfoot access to his funds.
				Jason Moser and Bindics discovered the alleged thefts when they became executors of their late father&rsquo;s estate.
				Days before Gary Moser died, Bindics reported to police Longfoot told her she had a notarized Power of Attorney document over Gary Moser&rsquo;s affairs but would not show her the document, the complaint says.
				Managers at M&T Bank Crossroads told police Longfoot entered the bank on July 20 with a financial Power of Attorney document for Gary Moser&rsquo;s account. A manager told Longfoot that Gary Moser&rsquo;s family had contacted the bank informing bank officials of his death.
				The manager told police Longfoot &ldquo;became emotional and stated she was unaware of the death,&rdquo; the complaint says.
				Police provided dates and withdrawal amounts from three counts in the complaint:<ul><li>July 17: $1,000</li><li>July 17: $1,000</li><li>July 19: $975</li><li>July 20: $300</li><li>July 20: $1,000</li><li>July 20: $1,000</li><li>July 21: $1,000</li><li>July 22: $1,000</li></ul>
				An attempt to withdraw $800 on July 23 was declined.
				Police allege they obtained surveillance video of Longfoot making withdrawals at the automated-teller machine.
				Longfoot was arraigned by District Judge Joseph Halesey in Hanover Township on charges of access device fraud, theft and receiving stolen property. She was released on $25,000 unsecured bail.
