SCRANTON &mdash; A man from Monroe County arrested by Kingston police when he arrived believing he was meeting a 15-year-old girl for sex was indicted by a federal grand jury.
				Earnest Lee Pittman Jr., 45, of Cresco, was indicted on a charge of online child enticement, according to U.S. Attorney David J. Freed.
				Freed in a news release alleged Pittman used the internet and a cell phone in an attempt to entice a child to engage in sexual activities between Aug. 4 and Aug. 12.
				Pittman, a federal corrections officer, was arrested by Kingston police Aug. 12 while driving to a location in Kingston intending to meet a girl for sex.
				According to the criminal complaint filed by Kingston police: 
				Pittman contacted whom he believed was a 15-year-old girl who was an undercover detective on Aug. 4 saying, &ldquo;I know I&rsquo;m older but I always date younger.&rdquo;
				Pittman asked for the girl&rsquo;s email address so he could email her from his work computer.
				Police in the complaint say 182 emails were exchanged between Pittman and the detective, most of them explicit in nature.
				Pittman asked for nude pictures and told the girl he had &ldquo;a great career and make really really great money from the government; you would never want for anything,&rdquo; the complaint says.
				Pittman also allegedly wrote to the girl, &ldquo;I really believe (sic) your someone I can fall deeply in love with.&rdquo;
				Police allege Pittman told the detective he was researching the Kingston area for a motel so they could meet up, but was also afraid because he came across news articles that police had been catching people meeting children for sex. 
				Pittston sent a picture of the Kingston/Forty Fort exit ramp on the North Cross Valley Expressway and of a well-known Kingston business. Police arrested Pittman during a traffic stop on Wyoming Avenue.
				Police recovered two loaded firearms, a stab-proof vest with the Department of Justice Federal Prisons Bureau seal on it and credentials identifying Pittman as a federal corrections officer inside his vehicle, the complaint says.
