In a matchup of clashing styles, Northwest shook off a 10-point deficit, scoring three unanswered touchdowns to beat host Montgomery 21-10 on Friday in a Northern Tier League Small School Division game.
				The Rangers were facing a 10-0 hole headed into halftime before quarterback Ryan Wassel connected with Chase Biller for a 4-yard touchdown just 1:10 before the break.
				That sparked Northwest, which didn&rsquo;t take long to grab its first lead when Wassel threw a 16-yard score to Landon Hufford early in the third quarter.
				George May added a 10-yard touchdown run later in the third for some insurance as the Rangers improved to 2-0 in their first season since leaving the Wyoming Valley Conference.
				May finished with 108 yards on 21 carries as the Rangers ran it 42 times for 217 yards as a team.
				The Red Raiders (1-1) worked mostly through the air as quarterback Logan Almeida threw it 48 times, completing 31 for 245 yards. That included a 25-yard touchdown pass to Maurice Walters late in the first quarter.
				Northwest&rsquo;s defense kept things mostly locked down from there, allowing just a 22-yard field goal the rest of the way.
				Wassel was 4-for-7 passing for 28 yards, but converted in the red zone when it counted. He also ran for 60 yards.
