Breast cancer screenings should not be delayed due to COVID-19

Commonwealth Health schedules ‘Mammothon’ to promote early detection and treatment

Wilkes-Barre General Hospital is seen in a file photo. Commonwealth Health will conduct its ninth annual Mammothon from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22. Volunteers from the six hospitals and related clinics will make calls to women who are past due for their annual mammograms, offering to schedule these critical screenings or to give a gentle reminder about the importance of yearly mammograms.
