AP source: Titans get good news with no positive results

Northwest&rsquo;s defense scored a touchdown and allowed just 206 total yards in the Rangers&rsquo; showdown with unbeaten Muncy on Friday.
				But 73 of them came on a touchdown pass in the second quarter, a score that put the Rangers behind for good in a 21-13 road loss to the Indians.
				It was the second straight one-score loss for the Rangers (3-2), who narrowly fell to South Williamsport last week, allowing a touchdown in the final minute to lose 21-14.
				This time it was the Rangers who had a chance late in the fourth but couldn&rsquo;t come up with a touchdown to try and extend the game. Northwest also had a potential score called back by a penalty in the final quarter. Both teams were flagged 11 times for over 200 total penalty yards in the game.
				Tied 7-7 after one quarter, the game&rsquo;s key play came when Branson Eyer connected with Ross Eyer for a 73-yard touchdown midway through the second quarter.
				Northwest kept it close in the third when Tommy Bierly scooped up a loose ball at the Muncy 1 and quickly hit the end zone. But the ensuing extra point was no good, and the Indians remained in front for the rest of the way.
				A 3-yard Ethan Gush touchdown run a few minutes later in the frame helped seal the game for the Indians (5-0).
				Carter Hontz opened the scoring for the Rangers with a 12-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Muncy&rsquo;s Ty Nixon with a 5-yard score with 59 seconds left in the first.
				George May had another strong performance for Northwest on the ground, finishing with 143 yards on 20 carries.
