The Latest: Unbeaten Chiefs tied with Raiders at halftime

WILKES-BARRE &mdash; For the first time in months, live music could be heard at Karl Hall. But instead of packing the theater with guests, the venue took a different approach &#8211; an outdoor concert.
				&ldquo;We wanted to make sure we could socially distance. This was the best way,&rdquo; said owner A.J. Jump at Sunday afternoon&rsquo;s &ldquo;Out Back at Karl Hall&rdquo; show, the venue&rsquo;s first live show since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
				Jump, alongside partner Mary McKenna, opened Karl Hall around two and a half years ago as a place for emerging local musicians to perform, and for music fans to enjoy a night of tunes in a cozy setting.
				&ldquo;The hall actually turned two years old right as COVID hit,&rdquo; Jump said. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s been nuts.&rdquo;
				Tickets were available for Sunday&rsquo;s show online instead of in person, to cut down on the exchanging of cash between hands. Jump said that the response they received was incredible.
				&ldquo;We sold out pretty quickly,&rdquo; Jump said.
				The show&rsquo;s &ldquo;Out Back&rdquo; name was pretty self-explanatory &mdash; a small stage and a few rows of chairs were set up behind the building, as people filed around from Main Street to take their seats.
				&ldquo;It&rsquo;s still very intimate,&rdquo; said Ken Osiecki, a Mountain Top resident who had attended a couple of shows at Karl Hall in the past, though none quite like this. &ldquo;I&rsquo;m glad they had the space. &#8230; It&rsquo;s not like a random parking lot. It&rsquo;s an extension of the hall.&rdquo;
				Like Osiecki, a lot of concert-goers had frequented Karl Hall before the pandemic put a halt to things, and many of them were looking forward to the unique setting.
				Folks were also looking forward to the afternoon&rsquo;s two musical acts: Tim and Rob Husty, a sibling duo known as the Husty Bros, and Mule Team.
				The Husty Bros opened the show and quickly won over the crowd with a setlist, including plenty of different groups and spanning multiple decades of music.
				As for Mule Team, Jump&rsquo;s pretty familiar with them &mdash; he&rsquo;s the band&rsquo;s drummer.
				&ldquo;I wanted our band to be sort of test runners for the show,&rdquo; Jump said. &ldquo;I could see how it goes from both sides.&rdquo;
				Before the Husty Bros took the stage, Jump got on the mic to welcome everyone to the show, and look forward at what the immediate future may hold for Karl Hall.
				&ldquo;We&rsquo;re looking to have another one of these shows around Thanksgiving,&rdquo; Jump said. &ldquo;After that, we&rsquo;ll take a break and hopefully come back with a new whole schedule.&rdquo;
