Their view: A justice of our own

The year 2020 has been a difficult one for everyone. Many people, businesses, first responders and others have been affected and too many have died as a result of the COVID-19 virus.
				Americans are struggling to make a living and to stay safe, businesses are struggling to stay afloat and nonprofit organizations are struggling to raise funding to help those in need. 
				Little Eric&rsquo;s Foundation (LEF) is one of those nonprofit organizations that has been compromised. Our mission is to bring awareness, fund pediatric cancer researchers directly and financially assist children battling cancer. September was Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and while we were forced to cancel our biggest events, we were still fortunate enough to hold some small socially distanted events that have been successful. 
				Many have stepped up to help support our cause and we are very grateful for all of them. 
				LEF wants to extend a big thank you to all of our board members, family and friends for their tireless work during our campaigns. We would also like to thank everyone who took place in our socially distant Balloon Launch, Gold Bow Sale and our first ever Virtual 5k. 
				We would also like to thank West Pittston&rsquo;s Mayor Tom Blaskiewicz, the Borough Council, and Police Department, Pittston City&rsquo;s Mayor Michael Lombardo, Council, and Police Department, Rob Sax and Plains Township&rsquo;s Commissioners, and Wilkes-Barre&rsquo;s Mayor George Brown and city workers. 
				We&rsquo;d also like to thank the Luzerne County Court House, Ed O&rsquo;Neill, Lou Ciampi at Independent Graphics, Newell&rsquo;s Gas, Schiel&rsquo;s Market in Parsons, Mickey&rsquo;s Mini Mart, The Salt Barre owners Katie Duffy and Michele Casey as well as their patrons, Art at Kidder Street Deli, Joe Masher, Anne Becker, John Moses at Mozip, Wyoming Area School District, Solomon Plains Educational Complex, Wyoming Valley West Middle School and our numerous recurrent donors that have sent in contributions. 
				Thank you for your continued support in our fight to help kids beat cancer!
