WILKES-BARRE &mdash; Wyoming Seminary had two of the four remaining teams in the District 2 Class 2A doubles championships but neither were able to advance past the semifinals.
				The first pair, Ella Krypel/Shailee Desai, were the top seed and were both singles standouts for the Blue Knights this season. Krypel made it all the way to the D2-2A singles championship two weeks ago.
				The top seed cruised to the semifinals but ran into the fourth seed and eventual champions Madeline DeFaber-Schumacher/Bella Aniska from Riverside. The pairing from Riverside duo knocked Krypel/Desai off in two sets, 6-3 and 6-4.
				This is the second time Aniska and Riverside have prevented Wyoming Seminary from reaching a district championship match. Aniska outlasted the Blue Knights&rsquo; Margaret Mihalick in the D2-2A team semifinals a few weeks ago to send Riverside to the championship.
				Wyoming Seminary&rsquo;s top doubles team this season, Christina Cikowski/Dominica Delayo, also reached the semifinals. They were the sixth seed and needed to play the No. 2 seed from Scranton Prep Megan McDonald/Anne Johnson.
				The match was only two sets, but the first set needed a tie breaker. Ultimately it was the Scranton Prep duo winning both sets 7-6 (4) and 6-2.
				DISTRICT 2/4 4A BOYS SOCCER
				Wyoming Valley West 4, Hazleton Area 3
				Jack Gorham scored twice to lead the host Spartans to an overtime victory over the Cougars in quarterfinal action.
				Hazleton held a 3-1 halftime lead, but Gorham and Chris Tecotl scored in the second half to force overtime.
				Cole Gorham netted the winner in overtime.
				Scoring for Hazleton Area were Gavin Huey, Joseph Rosero and Tanner Paisley.
				Tyler Marchlenski made three saves in goal for the Spartans while Hazleton Area keeper William Smith made seven saves.
				Valley West will travel to Delaware Valley for a semifinal game on Wednesday.
				Wilkes-Barre Area 4, Scranton 0
				Wilkes-Barre Area got goals from four different players to score a quarterfinal victory over Scranton.
				The Wolfpack will travel to Williamsport for a semifinal game at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
				Scoring for Wilkes-Barre Area was Tann Nilon, La&rsquo;Jean Berry, Evan Corcoran and Saquan Portee.
				Nick Wartella made five saves in goal for the shutout.
				DISTRICT 2 CLASS 3A BOYS SOCCER
				Dallas 1, Lake Wallenpaupack 0
				Michael Bufalino scored the only goal of the game as Dallas scored a quarterfinal victory over Lake Wallenpaupack.
				Dallas will play Crestwood at 6 p.m. Wednsday at Crestwood in the semifinals.
				Dylan Roberts assisted on the game-winning goal.
				Brandon Banks made seven saves for the shutout.
				Crestwood 3, Berwick 0
				The host Comets got goals from three different players as they scored a shutout victory over the Bulldogs in quarterfinal action.
				Crestwood will host Dallas at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the semifinals.
				Scoring for the Comets were Nick Ruggeri, Trey Zabroski and Nico Schwartz. Cole Kranson made three saves in goal for the shutout.
				DISTRICT 2 2A BOYS SOCCER
				Holy Redeemer 5, Montrose 0
				The host Royals scored five first half goals to advance to Wednesday&rsquo;s semifinal.
				Connor Kane and John Kuderka each scored twice for the Royals while Nick Smith added another goal.
				The Royals will play at Wyoming Area in the semifinals. The Warriors were 1-0 winners over Lakeland on Monday.

				Shawn Pawloski scored the game&rsquo;s only goal with 26 minutes remaining, connecting on a long direct kick to give the second-seeded Warriors a win over seventh-seeded Lakeland in a D2-2A quarterfinal game.
				Wyoming Area dominated most of the 80 minutes, outshooting Lakeland 26-2 and holding the Chiefs without a shot in the second half.
				Lakeland&rsquo;s best chance came early in the first half when Owen Morgan broke free on a counterattack, only for Wyoming Area keeper Adam Wisnewski to make the save. The Chiefs also had a pair of corners midway through the half, but neither amounted to a serious threat.
				Wyoming Area started strongly, but misfired on five shots in the game&rsquo;s first four minutes. The Warriors will host Holy Redeemer at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the semifinals The teams split their two games in the regular season.
				Lake-Lehman 7, Dunmore 1
				Max Paczewski scored four goals as Lake-Lehman defeated Dunmore in quarterfinal action.
				Lehman will travel Wyoming Seminary for a semifinal game at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
				Also scoring for the Black Knights were Jared Barber, Ryan Hunt and Michael Battin.
				Jonathan Riggall scored Dunmore&rsquo;s lone goal.
				Matt Ash had 15 saves in goal for Lake-Lehman.
				Wyoming Seminary 3, Scranton Prep 2
				Cooper Wood scored the game-wininng goal with 16 seconds left in the second half as Wyoming Seminary defeated Scranton Prep in quarterfinal action.
				Seminary will host Lake-Lehman at 6:30 pm. Wednesday in a semifinal game.
				Aslo scoring for Seminary were Thomas Iskra and Luke Johns.
				Scranton Prep got goals from Spencer Keihl and Sam Castellani.
				DISTRICT 2 CLASS 3A GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
				Athens 3, Tunkhannock 0
				Athens defeated Tunkhannock by game scores of 25-15, 25-18 and 25-19 in a semifinal matchup.
				Leading Tunkhannock were Dana Macko (five kills, four blocks, seven service points, two aces, 15 digs), Gabrielle Roote (six kills, one service point, 18 digs), Lily Miller (five kills, one ace, three service points, 15 digs), Ava Tyler (four kills, three service points, seven digs) and Emma Elias (20 digs, two service points, two aces).
				Athens will travel to Berwick, a 3-0 winner over Crestwood on Monday, for the championship game at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

				Berwick defeated Crestwood by game scores of 25-8, 25-21, 25-14.
				Berwick was led by Camille Pinterich (five aces, 19 service points, nine digs), Glorimar Guzman (three aces, nine service points and seven digs), Erin Hess (13 digs), Sarah Steeber (10 kills) and CeCe Isenberg (12 kills).
				Berwick will play for the District 2 championship against Athens at 5 p.m. Thursday at Berwick.
