Once again, as is the case every year post Thanksgiving, the hunting industry has cranked up its propaganda machine about an activity it deems a sport.
				In recent years, the industry has been trying to diminish the fact that hunting is about killing. Instead it now says it&rsquo;s not about killing, but about a whole slew of other factors, admittedly, any and all of which could and should be enjoyed without killing.
				Yet killing is still the ultimate goal, otherwise what use the weapons and the photos of the &ldquo;harvest&rdquo; in newspapers and social media posts? Why the call for expanded tactics, weapons, seasons and species?
				Most Pennsylvanians may not even be aware of it, but just this summer the hunting industry actually got the state legislature to pass expanded methods of killing. Yes, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the legislature passed and Gov. Tom Wolf signed hunting legislation.
				It is now legal for hunters to use various night vision and thermal equipment for hunting at night, particularly for natural predators such as coyotes.
				The same coyotes that are the primary target of hunting contests &#8211;which others states have banned &#8211; in which a variety of prizes are awarded for killing.
				But killing isn&rsquo;t the focus of hunting, so &#8230;
