DALLAS &#8212; Active Adult Centers sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties offer hot noon meals Monday through Friday to people 60 years of age or older. For participants age 60+ a $2.00 meal donation is gratefully accepted. The monies are needed in order to expand this program.The following is the menu for the week of April 13:MONDAY: Open face hot pork sandwich, chicken vegetable soup, oven-roasted potatoes, whole wheat bread, peach bread pudding, margarine, milk and coffee.TUESDAY: Bag lunchWEDNESDAY: Volunteer Luncheon - Breaded chicken parmesan, baked ziti, tossed salad, steamed broccoli, wheat dinner roll, lemon cream cake, margarine, milk and coffee.THURSDAY: pork and bell peppers, steamed broccoli and carrots, whole wheat bread, brown rice, orange, margarine, milk and coffee.FRIDAY: Grilled chicken sandwich, tossed salad, Rosemary roasted potatoes, whole wheat sandwich roll, ranch dressing, birthday cake, margarine, milk and coffee.
