Homeless shelter and program at New Roots, honors relative’s route to recovery

New Roots Recovery Support Center, located next to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility on Water Street, received approval from the Wilkes-Barre Zoning Hearing Board to create a 12-bed homeless shelter for men who will also attend a program to maintain their sobriety and end their poverty and chronic homelessness.
