Joseph Trakimas &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Oct. 28, 1992 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Joseph M. Trakimas, 65, of Scureman Street, Lyndwood, Hanover Township,
died &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Wednesday at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-BarreBorn Dec. 26, 1926, in Lyndwood,
Hanover Township, he was the son of the late Matthew and Anna Agonis Trakimas.
He was a life resident of Hanover Township, and was a graduate of Hanover High
School. He was a member of St. Casimir's Church, Lyndwood, Hanover Township.
He was a Merchant Marine for many years, retiring in 1981. He transported
supplies to the Philippines during World War II, and to Korea during the
Korean War. He was a member of the National Maritime Union. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by sisters, Mrs. Emily Grohowski and Anna
Trakimas. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are a brother, Vincent, at home; sister, Mrs. Mary Maximowicz,
Lyndwood, Hanover Township; one niece and two nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday from the S.J. Grontkowski
Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at
9:30 a.m. in St. Casimir's Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Muhlenberg. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The rosary will be recited 8 p.m. Friday with Monsignor William J. Pakutka,
pastor, officiating.
