HAZLETON -- More than three weeks after police found their bodies at a
South Wyoming Street home, there's still no official word on the murder of
Helen Manfredi and the suspicious death of Daniel Faust. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Investigators are waiting for the results of toxicology tests and other
examinations sent to the FBI crime laboratory in Washington, D.C., Hazleton
Police Chief James Joseph said Friday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Joseph said he was not certain when local investigators will receive the
results. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Faust, 24, was found dead inside his South Wyoming Street apartment,
possibly with two bullet wounds -- one to his chest and the other to his head. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Manfredi, 26, of Pardeesville, was found dead in a crawl space outside the
apartment with 46 stab or slash wounds caused by a sharp object. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Manfredi's death was ruled a homicide by Luzerne County Coroner Dr. George
E. Hudock Jr., but Faust's death remains "suspicious" as forensic experts
ponder whether he committed suicide or was murdered. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Hudock said after an initial autopsy that he never saw wounds in civilian
life as extensive as Faust's and asked for help from a blood splatter expert
and other pathologists before he rules on the death. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The police chief would not comment on reports that investigators are
leaning to a murder-suicide theory involving Manfredi and Faust. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "Nothing should be said until we have all our facts together," Joseph said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Joseph and Luzerne County District Attorney Peter Paul Olszewski Jr. issued
a joint statement more than two weeks ago which said investigators hope to
meet within 10 days after they receive the results of the laboratory tests. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 But the tests still are not completed and the circumstances around the two
deaths remain a mystery.
