Margaret Davenport &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Nov. 19, 1992 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Margaret Davenport, 83, formerly of Edwardsville, died Thursday, Nov. 19, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 1992, in the Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-BarreBorn and raised in the East
End section of Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late George and Anna
Cooney Stephens. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She attended Wilkes-Barre City schools, and was a graduate of the Mercy
Hospital School of Nursing, Wilkes-Barre. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 A registered nurse, she was employed for almost 50 years as public health
nurse for the City of Wilkes-Barre at the Kirby Health Center, retiring in
1984. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a member of Holy Saviour Church, Wilkes-Barre, and was a volunteer
for the American Red Cross. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Herbert Davenport, in
1958; brothers, Raymond F., Jacob J., and George; sisters, Ann Stephens Doyle,
Alice Stephens Hotkowski. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are a brother, Norman Stephens, Hallstead; several nieces and
nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Monday from the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral
Home, 64 N. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in
Holy Saviour Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Trucksville. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The Rev. Robert E. Burnett, pastor, will conduct a service Sunday
afternoon. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Holy Saviour Church,
or the charity of the donor's choice.
