 Nov. 17, 1992 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Jack K. Monroe, 67, of RR 3, Shickshinny, died Tuesday morning at homeBorn
Jan. 23, 1925, in Huntington Township, he was the son of the late Seymour and
Myrle Goodman Monroe. He was a member of the Town Hill United Methodist
Church, and its choir. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a
retired employee of Berwick Forge and Fabricating. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by brothers, William, Vernon and Arthur. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are his wife, the former Betty Kiessling; daughter, Mrs. Dayton
(Pamela) Davenport, RR 3, Shickshinny; sons, Roger G., RR 1, Shickshinny;
Kenneth K., RR 3, Shickshinny; sisters, Mrs. Violet Hidlay, Berwick; Ruth
Monroe, Chicago, Ill.; brothers, Abraham, RR 3, Shickshinny; Rev. Frank,
Lewistown. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Military funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday from the Clarke Piatt
Funeral Home, Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek, with the Rev. Charles Hooker,
former pastor of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Wilkes-Barre,
officiating. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in Dodson Cemetery, Southdale. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
