PITTSTON -- Police arrested a West Wyoming man Wednesday for allegedly
threatening to shoot a teller at the First Bank of Greater Pittston in
October. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Richard Clifford Strach, 22, of Shoemaker Avenue, was arraigned before
District Justice Carmen Maffei, West Pittston, and lodged in the Luzerne
County Correctional Facility for lack of $5,000 bail. Strach is charged with
making terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and simple assault. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Police allege that on Oct. 30 Strach entered the bank branch in West
Pittston and attempted to cash a check. The female teller found his account
closed and refused to cash it. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Police allege that Strach then became angry and abusive towards the teller,
threatening to get a gun, come back and shoot her. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He fled in a vehicle. A search for the vehicle turned up nothing the day of
the assault. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Wednesday Strach was observed by Exeter Assistant Police Chief William
Stout driving on Route 92. Stout stopped Strach on Pecks Road in Exeter
Township when he discovered there were warrants for his arrest. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 West Pittston Ptl. Michael Flanagan arrived on the scene and arrested
Strach. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 A preliminary hearing before Maffei is set for 5 p.m. Dec. 21. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Gun threat reported &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 WILKES-BARRE -- A Laurel Run Estates man reported to police Wednesday that
he was accosted by a man wielding a gun while parked on Motor World Drive. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Dale Hughes told police a black man threatened him with a handgun and fled
the scene. Police searched the area but did not find a suspect. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Car's window is smashed &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 WILKES-BARRE -- A Wilkes-Barre Township man reported to police Wednesday
morning that a cinder block was thrown through a rear windshield of a car
parked on East Main Street. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The 1988 Chevrolet belonged to James Reb, 21, of Francis Street.
