John Ribar &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Dec. 20, 1992 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; John Ribar, of Long Beach, Calif., formerly of Swoyersville, died Sunday in &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 South Bay Hospital, Rodondo Beach, CalifBorn in Osceola Mills, Johnstown,
he was the son of the late John and Anna Spirek Ribar. He was a member of St.
John Nepomucene Church in Luzerne. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by sisters, Helen and Anna. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are sisters, Mary Sheridan, Denville, N.J.; Annette Pennoni, Bryn
Mawr; brothers, Joseph, Swoyersville; George, Wilkes-Barre; several nieces and
nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the Lehman-Gregory Funeral
Home Inc., 281 Chapel St., Swoyersville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at
9:30 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Church in Luzerne. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Courtdale. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 A Christian Wake Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday.
