Isabelle Powell &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Dec. 10, 1992 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Isabelle Nelson Powell, of Sommerville, S.C., formerly of Plymouth, died &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Thursday, Dec. 10, 1992 in South CarolinaBorn on April 6, 1920 in Plymouth,
she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Amelia Nelson. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a graduate of Plymouth High School, the Wilkes-Barre General
Hospital School of Nursing and the Margaret Hague Maternity Hospital, N.J.,
where she specialized in pediatrics. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Prior to her marriage, she was employed at the Williamsport Hospital as
supervisor of the Pediatrics Department. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a former member of the First Methodist Church, Plymouth, and its
Sunday school. In Sommerville, she was a member of Bethany United Methodist
Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was also active in their Meals on Wheels program and a member of the
Charleston Women's Club. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by her husband, U.S. Air Force Col. S. Grover
Powell. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are a son, Chaplain Daniel N., serving with the Air Force in
Iceland; daughter, Mrs. Thomas E. Lawson, Sommerville, S.C.; eight
grandchildren; sisters, Mary N. James, Lancaster; Ruth N. Weaver, Forty Fort. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Memorial services were held Sunday, Dec. 13 in Sommerville. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment was in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, S.C. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Memorial contributions can be made to the Bethany United Methodist Church
or the Samuel Grover Powell Scholarship Fund.
