 Dec. 11, 1993 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Adam Chonko, 72, of Oliver Street, Parsons, Wilkes-Barre, died Saturday at &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Wilkes-Barre General HospitalBorn March 11, 1921, in Parsons, he was the
son of the late Theodore and Helen Kaplun Chonko. A resident of the North End
section of Wilkes-Barre for most of his life, he attended Wilkes-Barre
schools. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was employed for a number of years in the coal mining industry, working
primarily for the Pine Ridge Colliery. He was later employed at Frieder's
Cigar Co. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of Parsons Primitive Methodist Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by his brother, Nicholas. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are his wife, the former Faith M. Mosley; sons, Wayne A., Benton;
Glenn L., Parsons; eight grandchildren; sisters, Anne Hreha, Plains; Mary
Plasson, Parsons; brothers, twin John, Bridgeport, Conn.; Michael, Lily Lake;
Daniel, Parsons. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Monday at the E. Blake Collins Funeral
Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Dr. K. Gene Carroll,
pastor, officiating. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in at the convenience of the family. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
