W. Clyde Hampton &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Dec. 24, 1993 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; W. Clyde Hampton, 78, of Mercer Street, Berwick, died Friday morning at &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Berwick Hospital CenterBorn in Catawissa, June 22, 1915, he was the son of
the late Ethan Allen and Bertha Irene Hampton. He lived in Berwick since 1938. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He worked at the former AC&amp;F Industries, Berwick, until it closed in 1962.
He retired in 1978 from the BIDA Complex. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Jean E. Naugle, in 1974;
four brothers and two sisters. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are daughters, Connie Taylor and Helen Gonzales, both of Berwick;
sons, Wendell C. and John T., both of Berwick; 14 grandchildren; 26
great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; sisters, June Kitchen,
Bloomsburg; Ruth Farver, Jupiter, Fla.; half-sister, Ada Roadarmel, Millville;
half-brothers, Kenyon and Bernard Hampton, both of Bloomsburg. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Jan Fabian Funeral
Chapel, Berwick, with the Rev. Ronald J. Waterman, pastor of Nescopeck Free
Methodist Church, officiating. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
