   By this morning, falling mercury will replace falling snow, according to
meteorologist Mike Jurewicz at the National Weather Service in
AvocaTemperatures today are expected to start at about 10 degrees and drop to
zero by nightfall, Jurewicz said. Temperatures should remain that cold until
late in the week, when they might show a moderate increase. <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Between 8 and 14 inches of snow were expected by midnight; the skies should
be clear until Thursday or Friday, when a light snow may fall, Jurewicz said.
