John Reiss &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Jan. 20, 1994 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; John Edward Reiss, 48, of RR 1, Shickshinny, died Thursday at homeBorn
Sept. 27, 1945, he was the son of Betty Hargraves Applebey, of Shickshinny,
and the late Jack Applebey. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of IBEW, Local 1319, Electrical Union, Wilkes-Barre, and
was last employed at L.E. Meyers Electrical Company. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He also was a member of Benton Archery Club. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, the former Linda
Benton; daughters, Jessica Reiss and Jacqueline Bushinski, both at home;
Tracey Applebey, Nanticoke; sons, Joshua Reiss and Jason Bushinski, both at
home; sisters, Jean Switzer, Berwick; Debra Mowery, Huntington Mills; brother,
Frank Applebey, who is serving in the Army. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday from the Clarke Piatt Funeral
Home Inc., Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek, with the Rev. William Williams and
the Rev. Vern Brummel officiating. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in Sorber Cemetery, Reyburn. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
