Merle Stratton &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Jan. 28, 1994 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Merle A. Stratton, 76, of B'nai B'rith Apartments, Wilkes-Barre, died &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Wednesday at Riverstreet Manor Nursing Home, Wilkes-BarreBorn in West
Pittston, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Merle A. Stratton. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He resided in Levittown and Florida, and for the past two years in
Wilkes-Barre. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Eaton Corp., Philadelphia.
He also was employed as an office clerk for area coal mines. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marlene Stratton. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are a son, Merle A. Jr., Myrtle Beach, S.C.; brother, Carl
Franquet, Dallas; sister, Anne Bell, of Valley Crest Nursing Home; several
nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Arrangements are by the Frank A. Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave.,
Exeter. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 At the request of the deceased, there will be no services.
