Leo Nowak &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Jan. 28, 1994 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Leo Nowak, 77, of Horton Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Friday at Mercy
Hospital, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Wilkes-BarreBorn in West Nanticoke, he was the son of the late Frank and
Rose Glushefski Nowak. He attended Plymouth Township schools. He was a Navy
veteran of World War II. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Prior to retiring in 1971, he was the owner and operator of Nowak's Garage
and Ornamental Iron Works, Wilkes-Barre. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of St. Mary's Nativity Church, Plymouth. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by brothers, John, Charles and Julius; sisters,
Bertha Guslavage, Agnes Washilewski and Mary Buber. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Ramus; sons, John, Thomas and Leo
F., all of Wilkes-Barre; daughter, Jean Popovich, Wappinger Falls, N.Y.; Joan
Murray, Dallas; Helen J. Nowak, Wilkes-Barre; Mary Jo Mace, Wilkes-Barre; 14
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Louis and Edward, both of
West Nanticoke; brother, Frank, Wilkes-Barre; several nieces and nephews, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Piszczek Funeral
Home, 70 E. Main St., Plymouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in
St. Mary's Nativity Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Plymouth Township. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
