Delta won't investigate diverted landing &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 A Delta Air Lines spokesman said Tuesday the airline will not investigate
why one of its planes was unable to land at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton
International &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Airport on Sunday"It was a wind shear and so the pilot diverted," said
spokesman Bobby Harper. "That's all. There is no investigation." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Flight 1957 from Atlanta was scheduled to land in Avoca, but high winds
forced the pilot to divert the Boeing 737-200 to Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton
International Airport. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Delta officials said the plane was unable to land in Avoca because of a
wind shear -- winds of different speeds and directions occurring close
together, putting stress on the aircraft. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 They said the pilot acted properly in trying to land the plane before
diverting. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The plane's 82 passengers were shaken up during the two landing attempts,
according to several passengers. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Joel and Janet Neuman of Shavertown said the plane was tossed violently
each time the pilot tried to land. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 They criticized the pilot for attempting the landings before diverting to
Allentown. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Another passenger, Dennis Kellogg of Lake Ariel, was upset as well. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
