 Nov. 28, 1994 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Joseph E. Dempsey, 79, of RR 2 Dushore, died Monday at the Department of &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, following a lengthy
illnessBorn in Mildred on Oct. 18, 1915, he was a son of the late Michael and
Hannah Lang Dempsey. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He lived in Sullivan County for his entire life. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of St. Basils Catholic Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of McDermott Post 452 American Legion, Mildred. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are his wife, Mary Borick Dempsey, Dushore; daughters, Mrs.
Judith Dempsey Mills, Dushore; Mrs. Michael (Sandra) Saxe, Dushore; three
grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be Friday with a Mass of Christian B
