Fire ladder truck out of service after failing voluntary inspection &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The city will be without one of its two fire ladder trucks sooner than
expected, after a 1956 vehicle failed a voluntary inspection earlier this
weekThe truck, which had been stationed in the city's North End station, was
taken out of service after inspectors said a hydraulic system that lifts a
65-foot ladder was no longer workable, said Fire Chief George Soltis. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The move leaves the city with one ladder truck, a 1975 Hahn with a 75-foot
ladder. The truck will service the entire city from its central-city station. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Mayor Lee Namey planned to retire the 1956 Pirsch in January as part of a
