MOOSIC -- Lately, Rocky Glen has been nothing more than an amusement park
for arsonists. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 A string of arson fires lit up the park last month, prompting borough
officials to work on getting the land cleared. The park has had at least 10
arson fires since 1987. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; An informal meeting with park owner Gabriel Warshawsky on Monday resulted
in an agreement to tear down and remove the remaining structures, according to
Borough Council vice president Robert Gronski, who said clearing the park is a
safety issue. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "It's been a nuisance for the past six years," Gronski said, "but past
administrations never did much about it." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 One of the remaining structures is a roller coaster -- a potential hazard
for firefighters if another fire occurs before the site is clear. But after
Monday's meeting, Warshawsky hired security for the park that day and posted
"No Trespassing" signs. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 By Wednesday, Warshawsky had leveled the roller coaster. Dismantling of the
ferris wheel and removal of scrap iron from the site is scheduled for today,
Gronski said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
