Lining up for awards &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The ballyhoo of critics' awards has begun with the Los Angeles Film Critics &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Association, a generally mainstream group, giving their best picture and
other major awards to the unconventional ``Pulp Fiction.'' &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The resurrected John Travolta won the best actor award for his part in that
low-budget crime thriller from writer-director Quentin TarantinoThe LA critics
gave Jessica Lange their best actress award for her performance in "Blue Sky,"
a drama from Orion Pictures which has been sitting on the shelf since the
company went bankrupt. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Like many films currently jockeying for an Oscar nomination, "Blue Sky"
hasn't played in secondary markets such as Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Other Oscar
optimists that haven't played here yet include "Mrs. Parker and the Vicious
Circle," "China Moon," "Death and the Maiden," "Ready to Wear,' "Cobb,"
"Nobody's Fool" and "Immortal Beloved." Expect a few of those films to play
here in January and February. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 COMING ATTRACTIONS: Here's the line-up for movie release dates for the
remainder of the month. Today -- "Dumb and Dumber" and "Speechless."
Wednesday, Dec. 21 -- "Mixed Nuts" and "Richie Rich." Friday, Dec. 23 --
"Nell" and "Streetfighter." Sunday, Dec. 25 -- "I.Q.," "Rudyard Kipling's The
Jungle Book" and "Little Women." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 QUICKLY: With "Disclosure," Demi Moore seems likely to continue her streak
of $100 million movies, following "Indecent Proposal" and "A Few Good Men."
Sandwiched between those films and the mega-hit "Ghost" were the box office
flops, "The Butcher's Wife," "Mortal Thoughts" and "Nothing But Trouble." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
