Walter Elston &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Dec. 15, 1994 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Walter J. Elston, 95, of Tunkhannock Highway, Kunkle, Dallas Township, died &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Thursday evening at Meadows Nursing Center, DallasA life resident of Dallas
Township, he was a son of the late Marvin K. and Lana Hoyt Elston. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He attended Dallas Township schools. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Prior to retirement, he was owner and operator, in association with his
brother, the late Raymond Elston, of Shady Side Dairy from 1931 to 1956. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He also developed Shady Side Lake and was a Pennsylvania Tree Farmer. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of Kunkle United Methodist Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a 50-year member of George M. Dallas Lodge 531 Free and Accepted
Masons, Caldwell Consistory AASR, Bloomsburg, and Irem Temple AAONMS,
Wilkes-Barre. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a former member of Harveys Lake Lions Club and Dallas Kiwanis. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He also served as a Dallas Township school director. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He and his wife, the former Wilma C. Ayre, celebrated their 58th wedding
anniversary in March 1994. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 In addition to his brother, he was preceded in death by two other brothers,
Ralph and Stanley, and sisters, Myrtle Hess and Grace Ide. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving, in addition to his wife, are nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday from Richard H. Disque Funeral
