William Martin &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Dec. 5, 1994 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; William J. (Bill) Martin, 65, of McMinnville, Ore., died Monday in London, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 EnglandBorn in Sweet Valley, Oct. 13, 1929, he was a son of the late David
and Thelma Culp Martin. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was educated in Sweet Valley schools and served in the U.S. Air Force
during the Korean War. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 After the service, he attended Dupont Blasting School and became an
explosives expert with construction companies. He was employed by S.J. Groves
&amp; Son, Minneapolis, for 18 years and the Bechtel Corp. for the last 13 years.
He worked in Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, India and Argentina. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He resided in Gresham, Ore., and Newberg, Ore., for one year and in
McMinnville for the last five months. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He and his wife, the former Aileen Forney, were married July 4, 1953, in
Wilkes-Barre. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving in addition to his wife, are sons, David, Newberg, Ore.; Stephen,
Stevenson, Wash.; William Tigard, Ore.; daughter, Elizabeth Martin,
McMinnville, Ore.; eight grandchildren; brother, James, Wilkes-Barre; sisters,
Joyce Youden and Ruth Parsons, Sweet Valley. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of Macy &amp; Son,
McMinnville, Ore., with the Rev. West Smith, of Nazarene Church, officiating. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
