The following incidents were reported by state police or area police
departmentsAccident injures three &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 PLAINS TWP. -- A two-car accident near Jumper Road and East Mountain Drive
sent three family members to the hospital early Wednesday evening, police
said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; John Broddy Jr., 36, of Plains Township, was driving east on Jumper Road
when a car turned into the eastbound lane directly in front of his vehicle,
police said. The two vehicles collided about 5:30 p.m., police said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Broddy, his wife, Lisa, 31, and their son Justin, 13, were taken to
Geisinger Wyoming Valley medical Center in Plains Township, police said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The car that hit the Broddys' vehicle was driven by William Everett, 48, of
Plains Township, police said. Everett was not injured, police said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 None of those involved in the accident wore seat belts, but both cars had
airbags that activated, police said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The Broddys were being treated in the emergency room Wednesday at press
time, a hospital spokeswoman said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
