Joseph Miller &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Jan. 4, 1995 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Joseph C. Miller, 77, of Grebe Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Wednesday morning
at &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, after being stricken ill at homeBorn Jan 9,
1917, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Joseph and Maude Sliker
Miller. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He attended Coughlin High School and was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of
World War II. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of the
American Legion Post 558, Plains. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Wilkes-Barre, and
served as elder, trustee and church treasurer. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He entertained the children of south Wilkes-Barre for the past 30 years as
Santa Claus at Firwood Park. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He had been employed for 35 years as a representative for the Metropolitan
Life Insurance Co. and was a member of its Veteran's Association, Allentown. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was last employed by the Graham-McCune Funeral Home. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by sister, Bertha Juba. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are his wife, the former Caroline Zukowski; daughters, Caroline
Tenzi, Inkerman; Joanne Tarnalicki, Wilkes-Barre; Lynn McDonough, at home;
Donna Brodhead, Hanover Township; Kimberly Miller, Bethlehem; son, Charles,
Wilkes-Barre; eight grandchildren; half brother, Jesse Hallstead, Annandale,
Va. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday from the Westminster
Presbyterian Church, Hanover and Lockhart Streets, Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev.
Frank S. Deming Jr., pastor, officiating. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the
Graham-McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountaintop, and at the
church from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund of Westminster
Presbyterian Church, 2 Lockhart St., Wilkes-Barre, 18702. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
