SCRANTON -- The girls on Scranton's bench say they know their roles. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Now, everyone else knows them, too. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Reserves Kristen Hines, Kenella Lester and Cindy Zbierski combined for 33
points and 13 rebounds Wednesday, sparking the unbeaten Lady Royals to a 76-54
victory over Drew in a women's college basketball game at the Long Center. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "That's what our job is, to get in there and pick up the starters," said
Hines, who finished with 18 points as Scranton boosted its overall record to
17-0 and its MAC Freedom League record to 7-0. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "That's one of our pluses with this team," Scranton Coach Sue Serafini
said. "The second five pick up right where the first five leave off. When they
got the opportunity, they responded." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Sophomore scoring star Jennifer Nish recovered from Monday's eight-point
performance with a game-high 21 points against 7-9 Drew, but she didn't get
started without help from the non-starters. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Lester, a 5-foot-8 senior guard from Plainfield, N.J. turned around
Scranton's sagging inside game with seven rebounds off the bench in the first
half, helping the Lady Royals recover from a 10-8 deficit. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "Kenella's just a strong player for us," said Serafini, whose team is
ranked first in the Middle Atlantic Region of NCAA Division III. "Whatever we
need to get done on the court, she's more than ready and able to do." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Hines fueled a 20-2 Scranton run in the first half with two 3-point bombs,
setting opening up the paint for six points from Nish in the stretch as the
Lady Royals sprung to a 28-12 lead five minutes before the half. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 And Zbierski, a 5-10 freshman forward out of Coughlin High School, helped
out inside with three rebounds and a career-high 12 points. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Also, guards Gabby Gombar and Shannon Gallop contributed spirited play from
the bench. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "When we start rolling, they (opponents) have to watch that," Hines said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 SCRANTON -- The Scranton Royals can breathe easy now. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Their frustrating slide is over. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Chuck Nanick pumped in 21 points and Pat Beacham swished 17 more as the
Royals ended a three-game losing streak by whipping Drew, 90-60 Wednesday at
the Long Center. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "We needed that," Scranton coach Bob Bessoir said. "We needed to have a
win." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "If anything, it's a sigh of relief," Nanick said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Beacham started the Royals on the road to success by hitting eight points
in a 12-4 run during the opening minutes of the game. And Nanick, who was
benched briefly near the end of Scranton's loss to King's College Saturday,
fueled the team to a 37-26 lead by drilling 13 of his points over the final 15
minutes of the first half. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "I would say it makes you look back and see what you're doing wrong,"
Nanick said of the string of defeats. "When you're winning, you go with the
flow. Maybe now we can get back to where we used to be." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The Royals, now 11-5 overall and 3-3 in the MAC Freedom League, were in
strong shape at 10-2 overall and 2-0 in the Freedom before a winless stretch
of 13 days dampened their spirits. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "Maybe we weren't concentrating enough," Nanick said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Nanick completed an 11-3 Scranton surge that opened the second half by
burying two consecutive 3-pointers, and the Royals cruised from that 48-29
lead. Neal McGee came off the bench for 11 points and Marc Raffensperger added
10 more in a reserve role as Scranton recovered just in time for Saturday,
when it hosts Freedom League power Wilkes University. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "That evens us out in the league," Bessoir said. "Good win for us. It gives
us a lift." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "Especially with the upcoming game Saturday," Nanick said. "We don't want
to play Wilkes with a four-game losing streak." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

no contest. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Wilkes, led by Chris Parker's 31 points, pounded FDU-Madison 84-58 at the
DevilDome. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The Colonels, ranked second in the NCAA Division III Middle Atlantic Region
rankings, improved to 13-2 overall and 5-1 in the Freedom League. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The Jersey Devils fell to 8-7 and 5-2. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Parker's offensive output was a career high. He hit 11 of 17 shots from the
field and was a perfect 5 of 5 from the foul line. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Matt LaBuda was equally hot from Wilkes, scoring 19 points. He was 8 of 14
from the field. Jason Turner added 14 points for the Colonels. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 WILLIAMSPORT -- Marty Keithline's 3-point goal late in regulation sent the
game to overtime, but King's fell to Lycoming, 68-63. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Keithline led the Monarchs with 19 points, including his clutch shot with
five seconds left in regulation. The Bishop Hoban graduate had another shot at
tying the score with seven seconds left in overtime, but missed. Lycoming
rebounded and iced the contest with a pair of free throws. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Kevin McFarland led Lycoming, 8-8 overall and 3-4 in the MAC Freedom

Misericordia. The women improved to 7-0 with a 112-80 victory, and the men
improved to 5-2 with a 106-62 triumph. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Scott McNear, a Tunkhannock graduate, was a triple-winner for the Scranton
men. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Miseri's top performer in the meet was Wyoming Valley West graduate Heather
Dougherty, who won the 200 individual medley in 2:23.48 and the 100
breaststroke in 1:10.46. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 MANSFIELD -- Junior Paige Hargrove hit two clutch free throws with 11
seconds left to break a 76-76 tie, lifting Bloomsburg (9-8, 3-1) to an 80-76
