Amelia Sakowski &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Jan. 25, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Amelia Regina Sakowski of Chester Street, Ashley, died Thursday at her
homeBorn Jan. 23, 1925, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late
Walter and Lottie Smolen Golumbeski. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She lived in Ashley most of her life and was a member of Holy Family
Church, Sugar Notch, and its Confraternity of Christian Mothers. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, on May 5, 1991; sisters,
Stephanie Antoloci, Helen Nice and Elizabeth; brothers, Anthony, Joseph and
John Golumbeski. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are her son, Peter Sakowski, Mountaintop cq ; a daughter, Mrs.
Mark (Regina) Kay, Courtdale; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the George A. Strish Inc.
Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial
at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Members of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at
6 p.m. Sunday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
