 June 5, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Alleen McWhirter Fawcett, 66, of Anne Street, Wright Township, died June 5
in &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Mercy Special Care Hospital, NanticokeBorn June 6, 1929, in Pittsburgh, she
was the daughter of the late Harry and Viola Stewart Patton. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She graduated from Carrick High School, class of 1947, and resided in
Pittsburgh for 32 years. From 1961 to 1965, she lived in Norwood, and resided
in Mountaintop for the past 20 years. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a former employee of Mellon Bank of Pittsburgh. She was last
employed as a receptionist for Dr. Wesley Mullen, Mountaintop. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Mountaintop, and its
Friendship Circle. She was also a member of United Methodist Women,
Mountaintop Women's Club and the Welcome Wagon. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence F. McWhirter, in
1980; a brother, Robert Patton. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are her husband, James A. Fawcett Jr.; a daughter, Janine Birch,
Forty Fort; a stepdaughter, Barbara Zalewski, Media; a son, Steven McWhirter,
Hummelstown; stepsons, James Fawcett, Boothwyn; Charles Fawcett, Norwood; 10
grandchildren. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Sunday in Christ United Methodist
Church, South Main Street, Mountaintop, with the Rev. Bruce J. Gallup, pastor,
officiating. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment services were in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
