DALLAS TWP. -- A West Pittston man was arrested Saturday night after
leading police on a high-speed chase across five counties. He was apprehended
near Towanda, Bradford County. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The 90-mile chase began when Joseph Rossi, 32, of RR 4 West Pittston,
refused to stop on state Route 415 when Dallas Township police officer Brian
Feeney attempted to pull him over for several traffic violations, police said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; During the chase, Rossi's vehicle rammed the Dallas Township police car
three times and a Lehman Township police car twice, injuring Lehman Township
police officer Scott Davis, police said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 At the start of the chase at 10:30 p.m., Rossi turned left onto state Route
118 and continued to state Route 220 in Hughesville, Lycoming County, police
said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Police chased Rossi's 1989 Toyota pickup truck through Luzerne, Columbia,
Lycoming, Sullivan and Bradford counties. Rossi drove into a field in
Laddsburg near Towanda, where he lost control of the vehicle. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Police vehicles from Lehman, Jackson and Lake townships, Harveys Lake
Borough, and several state police cruisers followed Rossi on the 70-minute
chase. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 After Rossi was apprehended, he was taken to Towanda Memorial Hospital,
where he was treated for minor head lacerations and released to police
custody. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Rossi faces five counts of aggravated assault, one count of recklessly
endangering another person, one count of fleeing and attempting to elude a
police officer, and one count of driving under the influence of alcohol. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Feeney said the initial traffic violations of reckless driving, careless
driving, passing in a no-passing zone and driving a vehicle at a safe speed,
were added to the charges. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Police said additional charges might be filed. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Rossi was arraigned 5 a.m. Sunday in Towanda before being returned to
Dallas Township, where he was arraigned before District Justice James Tupper
at noon. Rossi was remanded to Luzerne County Correctional Facility in lieu of
$15,000 straight bail. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 A preliminary hearing is set for 10 a.m. July 2 before Tupper. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
