Carl Veety &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 July 11, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Carl S. Veety, 85, of RR 1, Box 360, Falls, Exeter Township, died Thursday
at the Tyler Memorial Hospital, TunkhannockBorn Jan. 28, 1911, in Brinktown,
Falls Township, he was a son of the late Sandy and Ida Echel Veety. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He worked as a farmer before retiring, and formerly operated a trucking
business in the Falls area. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of Falls United Methodist Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He and his wife, the former Romayne Swartwood, celebrated their 59th
wedding anniversary on May 29, 1996. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Bedell; brothers, Elmer and
Robert. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, James, Denver, Colo.; Duane,
Montrose; daughters, Marlene Rice, Denver, Colo.; Ruth Hammond, Dalton; a
brother, Roy, Falls; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; nieces and
nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday from the Harding-Litwin Funeral
Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with the Rev. William K. Lockor of Falls
United Methodist Church, officiating. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in Roberts Cemetery, Falls. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Memorial donations may be made to Falls United Methodist Church, Falls,
18615. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
