Therese Dente &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 July 11, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Therese Dente of Park Street, Moosic, died Thursday at the home of her son, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Joseph Jr. of Spring Street, MoosicBorn in Avoca, she was a daughter of the
late William and Anna Connor Ruddy. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She worked as a waitress for Smith's Restaurant, Moosic, and was a member
of St. Mary's Church, Avoca and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was a past
president of the parents guild of St. Mary's School and a former member of the
Avoca Centennial Bells. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ferdinand Dillon, in 1945;
second husband, Joseph Dente, in 1983; a son, Kenneth Dillon; granddaughters,
Ellen Marie Carr and Susanne Dente; brothers, William, Thomas and Vincent
Ruddy; sisters, Loretta Ostrowsky and Agnes Newburg. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving in addition to her son, Joseph Jr., are a daughter, Anna Dillon,
with whom she resided; sons, William Dillon, Royal Oak, Mich.; Carmen Dente,
Avoca; 11 grandchildren; nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday from the Austin F. O'Malley
III Funeral Home, 728 Main St., Avoca, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10
a.m. in St. Mary's Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Avoca. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice, Scranton; Moosic Youth
Center and St. Mary's School Building Fund, Avoca. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
